- Account information: When a parent or guardian signs up, we collect an email address and, optionally, a name.
- Child profile information: Age range or year of birth, to serve age-appropriate content. We do not require a child's name.
- Usage data: How the app is used — which subjects are visited, time spent, and progress — to improve the experience and power the Parent Dashboard.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and browser, collected automatically for technical compatibility.
- Waitlist information: If you join our waitlist, we store only your email address.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and improve our service
- To personalise content to your child's age and learning progress
- To send you service-related communications (account updates, early access notifications)
- To show parents usage summaries in the Parent Dashboard
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use children's data for advertising purposes.
3. Children's privacy
BabyFlix is designed for children aged 2–8 and is operated with child safety as a priority. We comply with applicable laws regarding children's online privacy, including COPPA (for users in the United States) and KVKK (for users in Turkey).
We do not collect more personal information from children than is necessary to operate the service. Parental consent is required before any child-related data is collected. Parents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us.
4. Data sharing
We may share information with:
- Service providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate our platform (e.g. hosting, analytics, payment processing), under strict data processing agreements.
- Legal authorities: Where required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
We do not share personal information for marketing purposes with any third party.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your data at any time. Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or we launch.
